Events happen in our lives that cause us to take a close look at ourselves and our place in the world. We feel deep emotions and look for profound meanings to guide our lives. We experience the darkest side of humanity, yet struggle to believe in the greatness of human spirit. We want to express the best that we have to offer and hope that somehow we can help create a world that reflects the brightest of humanity - a world of peace, compassion, kindness, cooperation, and love. What part can I play, I wonder, as I see others rise to the occasion.

The terrorist attacks on the World Trade center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington DC on September 11, 2001 is one such event. These songs are dedicated to the personal struggles and strength caused by this event and to the best in humanity that ultimately prevailed.
